You might want to think about first how often do you see foreigners in your country. Not very much, I suppose. If you do see a lot of foreigners, think how often you talk to them. For example, let’s think about international students in United States, just like me. Maybe we come to this country with the expectance of higher level of education. It is true that United States gives better education. However, as you study here, you get to see a number of students from all over the country, including Americans. It is amazing to know how they all have different ways of living life. Because we were all raised from different cultures, we think different and act different. Getting to know other international students and understanding their cultures will definitely help enlarging our sights. As the world flattens out, this is the experience that global world needs young workers, like us, to have.
Studying abroad has both advantage and disadvantage.It all depends on your orientation for what is worth.If you study hard in a top school,and you really gained something that you can never receive in your own country. Then I would say,the tuition you spend on is worthy.In that way I dont see any waste of money,it's a kind of investment in education.And you will definitely get paid for the tuition you spend in the future.Also,in a foreign country,we are experiencing differences in idea of education.Different countries have different emphasis on education.So studying abroad will help me develop different abilities. Homesickness is unavoidable.But since the dreams are here and you can make your family live better.It's worth.But I have to mention that I oppose the pure pursuit of trend of studing abroad. Thinking about all the benefits as well as the difficulty you will meet. And then make the decision.
I personally feel that studying abroad has more advantages than disadvantages. Firstly, when we do study abroad we can meet new people from all over the world. Meeting new people is good since we can get to know and learn their cultures and languages at the first place. These opportunities are hard to get if when are studying local. Besides, studying abroad normally means we are living far from our families. In this situation, we have to live on our own. This would indirectly make us to be more independet. Eventhough some people would say that studying abroad requires a lot of money, but if we take into account about the priceless experiences that we could have if we do study abroad, the money that we invest would definitely worth. Other than that, studying abroad particularly in the United States enables us to know new technologies that we would not have in our own country. Thus, we can learn about the new technologies and who knows one day, maybe we could apply and use them in our country when we get back.
In my opinion, study abroad is a program that requires a lot of money but it will be worth it. In the other words, study abroad has more advantages than the disadvantageous. Many people question about the money will be spent if someone chooses to study abroad. Is all that money worth? Why not all that money spent to improve the local education system? The answer is easy. Think about the future. By sending someone to study overseas, we will give him or her chance to learn new things. The most obvious example is technology. Each country in the world has its own specialty, For example, Germany has very great technology in automobile while United States is a leader in computer and gadgets development. Therefore, by studying in this well-developed country, we will get an opportunity to learn so many new things and then, use it to help our own country. Additionally, study in a different country with different culture and people from ours will give us a new experience. All of these experiences is very useful to us in the future. By studying in first-class mentality country, it will teach us to be more responsible. Besides, it will boost us to improve the lifestyle in our own country. All in all, study abroad is a very useful program and gives us many advantages. However, before you choose to do that, please think about all the challenges you might face such as homesick, financial problem, and culture shock and get ready to solve it. If you don’t, please don’t do it or you will waste all the money spent.
Studying abroad is absolutely an advantage if you can afford it. Unless you are unable to afford the costs of studying abroad, a lot of times it is beneficial to have some kind of education out of your home country. It may turn out in the end, after coming back from a study abroad, that for some students it may not have been so beneficial, or did not like the experience they had when they were studying abroad. However, even these negative experiences from studying abroad can be an advantage.
With the world becoming more and more international over time, knowing more about other countries and understanding their people and culture is very important. The only way to do so is to go abroad and experience other cultures by yourself, rather than reading it off from a book. What you see and what you experience is what you learn so therefore studying abroad would most definitely be an advantage.
I am on studying abroad situation now and I personally think that it is a great experience. Even though studying abroad costs a lot of money and effort, having such an experience expands not only your knowledge but also how to cooperate with many different situations you face. No one concerning about your decision (friends still can affect your decision but they can’t decide your determination at their pleasure like your parents did in high school) means that you can become more responsible to yourself and have to become aware of what’s going on. Does facts can be disadvantage too. No one touches you and make you do your work so you can slack off. In my opinion studying abroad is a great opportunity to anyone if they can afford it. You can get confident after you finish your studying abroad program.
I believe that there are much more advantages than disadvantages from studying abroad. We can learn not only new language, but also cultural differences and new perspectives from it. I had studied abroad for an academic year when I was in high school. It was a great experience I’ve ever had in my life. Meeting new people and living in a new environment expand your ideas of the world. Also you understand more of other cultures and countries. Although many students might give up on studying abroad because of their financial problems, However, I strongly encourage other students to studying abroad. It is because studying abroad is a great experience to learn other countries, and in the same time, you will learn how well your home country is. I’d never thought my home country, Japan, is such a great worthy country until I studied abroad. Also there are many opportunities for students who have financial problems such as scholarships and financial aids. You should think positively of how you can start studying abroad with these opportunities.
As I see, studying abroad has widened our scopes of viewing different cultures and educational systems. Although we may give up our own cultures, we could really learn from the others. As students of the modern world, we should not limit our scope within home countries, but get exposure to the world. Studying abroad can help us expand our horizon and learn from the elite in the host country, as we will meet and make friends with people from all over the world.
Besides, we’ve learned how to be mature and independent. Students in the home country usually rely on their parents; they will just leave the problems alone and ask their parents to solve them. But those international students like us, have to solve everything on their own; they should learn how to cope with any difficulties they will meet.
Furthermore, for most international student especially those from Asian countries, the education system from foreign country is somewhat better than their home countries. The education system in my home country China, is a spoon-feed one, most of the teachers there will ask the student to recite a lot of things and then ask them to write it down. This cannot stimulate student’s interest in their learning. The choice of subjects in school, especially in secondary school, is very narrow; the students cannot choose what hey want most. But the schools in Britain and America, students can enjoy from a wider range of choice of subjects from school. So in my opinion, if students choose to study abroad, they could learn more things under a better educational system.
As a result, studying abroad brings benefits to us.
I really enjoy my life of studying abroad here in America. The life alone in a foreign country is so hard for sure, but it is not quite a big problem. Everyone will handle it through time, I believe. Besides that, as the article says, money is really the important and main point for many people not studying abroad. It is true. Studying abroad is spending my parents a lot of money. I feel so bad every time when I use their money to pay my tuition. However, I believe this amount of money will pay back in the future, if I study harder and learn more from my surroundings, my life. Studying abroad makes me learn a lot of things, a better education, a different culture, life alone, how hard to make money, and how to deal with many kinds of relationships. These experiences get students mature and independent earlier. In my opinion, studying abroad is very expensive and hard, but the experiences are precious, useful, and unforgettable. So if I have another chance to choose my life again, I will still choose to study abroad.
I think study abroad can make people improve and get independent. As a studying-abroad student, so far, i have learned many things in the U.S. And i bumped into friends from different countries, learn different culture and enjoy different food. Though, it might be homesick for most of students who study abroad, it is still worthy to have this kind of experience. What more, you can get new ideas about your life and become open-minded after you studied abroad. As a result, in a new environment, you will definitely learn more than you thought and the experience in other country is really an unforgettable story in your life.
Study abroad is a one of the hottest topics and trends nowadays in CHINA. Going to USA is even attractive to most of the students. Why? That’s because USA is believed to have the highest college-education level in the world. People have an idea in their minds that it seems it is only possible to be successful if you receive a higher education in USA. Well, America definitely has a very advance higher education system. However, we should not put all of our hopes of being success into studying abroad. Let’s put it in this way, with the financial ability permitted, we can pursue our further study abroad. But we do it not just because we need to study more advanced skills, more importantly, we need to use this opportunity to upgrade our vision of the world. We have to explore the cultures in the other parts of the world, thus leading us to know more about the world. That is what we really need to focus on because that’s the real benefit lies in studying abroad! What’re the possible disadvantages of being studying abroad then? If you are just pursuing an advanced study without trying to understand other cultures, then you are just wasting your money. Here lies the first problem; financial pressure to the family can be a serious problem to us. Secondly we can easily lose ourselves in the other countries’ ways of life. If we don’t see whole studying abroad as a multi-purposes task, then we will not be able to gain we need to---understandings. And that’s why I think, understanding the key part in studying abroad rather than just academically learning.
Study abroad is a great experience for people to know more about other countries and the world. As the articles say, we may gain confidence and the experience may change our world view. I believe all the students in this class are experiencing studying abroad now because all of us are from Asian countries. For me, it is the greatest thing I have ever had in my life. First of all, I can choose whatever I want to study here which can never happen in China. It is always my dream to go to top business schools and now this dream may come true in the United States. Second, my English skills get improved during studying in the English Speaking Countries and I can have friends from different parts of the world with different culture backgrounds. Through the talking with them, I know a lot about their living styles and indirectly I improved my English skills. Last, staying away from my parents is really a challenge for me because since the day I was born, I have never left my parents. But now, I am more independent and I have my own thoughts about all the things. I believe if there is future chance to go to study abroad, I will be the first to go!!
There are both advatages and disadvatages for stuyding abroad.
First of all let me tell you about the advatages we get from studying abroad. We gain whole lot of experiences which is priceless. In my country, many students want to have opportunity of studying abroad, because, they want to gain special experiences that we could never get in our country. We learn not only the language but also we learn the cultures, social skills and so on. But stuyding abroad is very restricted, because it costs a lot of money. I think the cost is the most problem to have opportunity of studying abroad. Disadvatages for studying abroad is just minor things, such as homesick, etc. It has alreay been about 5 years since I stuyding abroad. While I am living here, I gained absolutely more advatages than disadvatages. My english skill improved, I learned how to social with diffrent races, and I could have amazing opportunity to experience different culture. I think, the main purpose of studying abroad is to broaden your experience, so I am encouraging people to study abroad to any country, not only the United States.
