Not only us but also murderers have right to keep their lives. Life is not a switch that we can decide turn off or turn on, in any circumstances. Let’s say a man killed somebody intentionally from hatred, and we sentenced him to death. Sentencing him to death, because the man killed somebody, is nothing but another murder with unrevealed hatred of us, disguised in the name of the justice. If you are satisfied and smiling about executing death penalty of the murderer, there is no difference between you and the murderer who could be also satisfied and smiling about killing whom he wanted. I think it is better to put murders into a life sentence and try to educate and civilize them for the rest of their lives. Being isolated and alone from the society, for the rest of the life, is not normal environments that you can easily be adopted.
In my opinion, the death penalty should depend on the current circumstance. Killing people may be accidently or purposely. On one hand, if someone kills a people by accident, I think she or he was not deserved death because everybody makes mistakes and there should be some remission for them. For example, if one person is drunk driving and kills someone, does the person deserve death? Of course this is all his or her fault, but if he is clear-headed, will he kill the person killed by him or her? The answer is no, so he should receive penalty but not death. On the other hand, if the case is a murder, I think the murderer should be killed to pay back a life for the person who has been killed. No matter what reason it is, a man is not deserved the murderer to kill him or her. Even though the victim was such a bad person, the government and police will definitely punish him and the murderer does not have the right to kill someone. Let’s think about how the families of the victim feel. And if you are one relative of the victim, how sad you will be? Therefore, the murderer should receive the death penalty.
what else could be compared with one's life? No one has rights to take away someone's life. Death penalty is somewhat reasonable, for it is one way to pay off one's sin. People might think that, if someone killed someone on purpose, the person who commintted murder's life should be taken away. In my opinion, death penalty is not a good way to purge of sin. There are many countries that death penalty is still effective. Murderers can never be forgiven, and the act of killing someone cannot also be justified in any circumstances. Everyone has their own rights to live. Death penalty is also very brutal. Many scientists adresses that the latest version of death penalty machine is to be designed to reduce the condemned's pain, and they explain that this is the way that shows respect to the condemned at least. Even though murderers committed such a cruel act, but purging their sin by giving a death is also cannot be justifies, because no one can ever take away one's life. Death penalty should be abolished, because it only brings another killing. Death penalty is another way of act of comitting murder.
Even though killing people is bad, I don’t think death penalty is bad, because sometimes people should be killed, like the murders. I know some people don’t agree to kill people even though they are manslayers. They believe teaching them to be a good person is a way to decrease the rate of criminal. However, I don’t think so, even though they learn how to be kind and also they want to be kind. In my opinion, going to jail because of killing means that a person’s whole life is destroyed. There are not many places for murders in our society. Almost no one will trust a person who comes out from the jail, especially those who kill people. People are scared of murders. And it makes those criminals commit a crime again. And then it is like a circulation. As a result, I don’t understand why the manslayers can not be killed. And on the other side, these manslayers kill at least one person who is definitely innocent directly or indirectly. Letting these murders in prison for the whole life also has no sense. If doing like this, it means to give them a chance to come out of the prison. If there is not enough punishment for the murders, less and less people may care about criminal offenses, and more and more people may commit a crime. As a result, the only merciful thing to do for those manslayers is the death penalty.
Everyone has a right to live in this world. However, the right and previlige to live can be taken if people do not use them properly. Death penalty is one of the way to deny the right to live. While some people might not agree with death penalty, i go for it. Death penalty is an effective way to make people realize on why we are sent to live in this world. We are sent here neither for killing people nor doing crime. We are here to live in this world in a harmony way. From my point of view, death penalty can make people think twice on comitting any crime such as murder and being a drug dealer. Therefore,I feel death penalty is an efficent action and it can make people think how precious life is.
In my opinion, the death sentence is a required in action to make this world a safer place to live. The abolitionists of death penalty said that no one have legal right to take other peoples live. They said that the death penalty is same as the murderer’s action. I strongly disagree with this point. There is obvious different in purpose of killing. Usually, all the murderers have their own purpose. While the main reason of death sentence is to warn people the consequences of killing someone. We can see how effective the death sentence in frightening the killers in the statistic provided by our colleague, Eddie. From 1950 to 1980, there was no death penalty in the United States after it was abolished by the Supreme Court. During that particular time (1965-80), murders in the United States doubled from 9,960 to 23,040 per year. Obviously, murder becomes more attractive to potential killers when they know that the worst possible punishment they may face is only prison. Nevertheless, in order to execute the death sentence, the proper investigation shall be taken to make sure that the right man will be prosecuted. Inevitably, death sentence some time is executed to the wrong person, the innocence. There is case where a person was sentenced to death after he or she was proved to be guilty but after the sentence was carried out, he or she proved innocent. However, it might be worth to do it. By killing an innocent people, the death sentence manages to save others live by frightening the killer outside. Therefore, the mistake in execution of death sentence still has its benefit to our world. All in all, I strongly said that death sentence is a requirement in order to make this world a better place to live.
Although human’s lives are very important, I believe that we need to have death penalty for particular occasions. We are living under the law, and it gives us rights to have safer lives. If anyone violates our rule, they need to be punished. For many occasions, people are imposed to be in jail for years if they violate the law, however, for some law-offenders, it is not easy to make up for what they’ve done. In this case, death penalty needs to execute. It’s controversial that if murders have right to live or not. However, some believes that they are deserved for death penalty because of their crimes. Also death penalty prevent from occurrence of murder by showing the fact that they will be punished as death penalty if they kill someone.
I don't think we have the right to execute anyone. Its true that the murderer should be punished, but if you execute the murderer, wouldn't that make you a killer too? That is not the true justice, and I don't think the judge can be the God. Thus i believe death penalty should be banned.
I was taught that killing is wrong no matter what. In my opinion, sentencing criminals to jail is much better than death. In jail, people can not harm society because criminals are isolated and the punishment is doing the same thing capital punishment does without the taking the person's life. The death penalty is not an effective way to deter crime. The only way to deter crime is to prevent it from happening, rather then enforce harsh punishment to "scare" off potential crimes. in addition to the previous discussions a lot of the penalties that are in place right now is very much indifferent from a death penalty. We often hear someone has be sent to jail for a hundred or even two hundred some years. It is to one's common knowledge that no one can live that long, sentencing the criminals such penalties not only takes away his rights but forbits him from doing things repeatedly for a long period of time which is clearly a suffer that might have been worse then a death to a lot of people. That being said, if we can achieve, or even exceed our original purpose, why take someone's life and get critisized by.
I think death penalty should be abolished due to the dignity of human. Any person or even government has the right to put an end to one’s life. Let’s say one guy raped and murdered one girl and he was sentenced to death penalty. The point of death penalty is to punish one that made anti-humanity crimes and to decrease other crime rate by showing them the fear of death. But death penalty can mean another murder. Also, death penalty cannot reduce the rate of big crimes, and it’s proved by researches and statistics. For these reason, I think death penalty should be abolished.
In my opinion, death penalty should depend on the situations. And I have to say if there is no death penalty I would live with no sense of safety. If a person who murdered someone and he found that he can still be alive. Then what he would think is that killing people won't matter and he may kill more people.Law in a certain degree is to provide safety and order of a society.Take Singapore as an example.Their law is famous for being strict,in the meantime,it's famous for being safe and also rich.So I think the proper strict penalties on bad persons are definitely correct. This can reduce the rate of criminal as well as to increase the production of people.I can not ignore that some death penalty is not so proper. But who will have a sweet sleep with the burden of anyone can kill you without being heavily punished?
This is quite a controversy topic. People who stand for death penalty claim, some criminals are so serious and unforgivable that only death can pay what they’ve done to the society. The opponent consider differently, they think without death’s threat then the criminals’ confession will be easier. However the proponent would say if so, the criminal rate would be raised higher because death is no longer in force. In my opinion, death penalty should be abolished. We can find alternative ways to deal with those people who have convicted a very serious crime. Like ultimate-jailing would have the same effect with death. I do agree the victims’ family deserves peace by the death of those extreme criminals. However people have the right to live and this right is beyond everything. Hence, I think death penalty can be abolished and it should be!
I think there are still reasons for death penalty existing. Those murders should be punished for what they done to the victims. Therefore, i think death penalty is one of the punishment, however, it should be execute carefully. because it's just like take off the right for a person to live. Actually, in my opinion, some murders who are cold-hearted and they didn't think they are wrong when they were killing people. those should be punished in a serious way. however, not only death penalty but also in jail all his life can be the strict punishment to them. those who did that cruel murder should have take off their right of freedom even life for the cost of the crime.
i think forgiveness is for those murders who will feel guilty or sorry to the victims but for those lack humanity. actually, it all depends on the altitude of the crime.
